-Volunteered in a program called Scitrek where I helped in teaching science to 3rd/5th graders -Researched in a program called POP (power of play) where we promoted pro social behavior through play at recess times -developed a recess program for T-K (transitional kindergarten) -helped in classrooms from 1st to 3rd grade in math at Isla Vista Elementary -I have a minor in education -I think tutoring will help me improve my skills as well as apply my new knowledge of education and I enjoy working with kids -I have a passion working with kids and worked at Isla Vista Elementary for two years; any work i can do with children I would gladly appreciate -Volunteered in a youth center at La Casa de la Raza in Santa Barbara which focused on chicano/chicano youth individuals where I helped them with homework and extra curricular activities -Lead the hunger and homelessness campaign at an organization called CALPIRG which focuses on environmental and social issues
